I have finally managed to finish another of the tiny baby singlets that I started last week! I am also working on my swap item for the Southern Seasons Swap but won't show that until I am sure it has been received. I have been a bit frustrated with what I'm making and have started two versions of my item, one of which I have almost finished - it will be done by Monday and ready to send off.
So, back to the singlets ...... the new baby was born on Wednesday night and it's a boy, but seeing as I had already started the lilac roses, the poor little mite will have to wear it anyway! Luckily his mum likes purpley shades so at least she will enjoy it! The first one was in blue and I already posted about it last week, but couldn't resist putting the two together for a final pic! I'm quite pleased with them and have plans for some more for my daughters coming babe. I've already picked some nice yellows and pinks because she's sure she is having a girl but she will wait until it's born to find out for sure ....... much more exciting to have a surprise at the end of all that hard work!!
Today is the first sunny'ish kind of day for a week, so I raced outside to take these photos. Of course while out there I discovered that I really needed to be outside for a while myself - catching a bit of sun with added Vitamin D and inhaling a shot of fresh air! Naturally, that means I will also find a task that needs doing in the garden, or the yard, or ......... !
Dear Evi,
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful stitching, absolutely gorgeous!
Linda
these are so cute:)
ReplyDeleteHi there, wow, very beautiful stitching. Thanks.x
ReplyDeleteReally lovely hand work, these will be treasured for years to come!
ReplyDeleteOh, those are the sweetest things ever. Every baby deserves to wear one!
ReplyDeleteHow provoking. I didn't know human hands could make those so cool flowers. I was happy, thinking that people couldn't do it, because that meant I didn't have to figure out how. But now - you've disabused me, and now I'm thinkin' I'm going to have to figure it out afterall. These are lovely, fine and really charming.
ReplyDeleteWhy, thank you to all!! I'm pleased to know I still remember how to do them, but unfortunately I tend to master something and move on...... variety is the spice of life, I suppose!
