......... is Spring, and I am delighted to see the signs of new growth everywhere. This beautiful view is what visitors to our little town see when they first drive in or the last thing when they drive out - hopefully after having stopped and spent time here! In a month or two the silver birches lining the road will be in leaf and then Summer will be with us once again.... bliss!!
I am also thinking about the lovely visitors that pop in to my blog. Thank you to everyone that takes the time to read my thoughts and welcome to those that have chosen to add me to their regular reading list. It really is very gratifying to know that someone likes my rambles enough to want to read them regularly!
I've linked this to Down to Earth's Friday feature 'On my mind' - thanks Rhonda!!

Hi I've just popped over from down to earth. What a beautiful blog you have and very interesting posts. As I was clicking onto comment I realised you had my blog on your blog list and I didn't even know about you. I'm so glad I came.
ReplyDelete*looks out of my window* it's supposed to be summer/autumn (fall) here, and the rain is pretty intense. Wish I was looking at pretty daffodils instead!
ReplyDeleteOh how lucky. I'm on the fall side of the world here too and things are just starting to wind down for the year.
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are lovely! What are the tiny white flowers?
ReplyDeleteglad to have found your blog...it is very inspiring....7 children, wow that is wonderful. You take great photos and where you live is a beautiful spot.
ReplyDeleteKeep crocheting xox Jo
Becky, I think they are wild daisies. They look like tiny English daisies and they grow wild all over paddocks here in the spring/summertime. I'm sure the farmers don't like them but they are so pretty studded amongst the grass.
ReplyDeleteThey are a lovely little flower!
ReplyDeleteLovely flower photo. I'm just dropping by from DTE as I try to visit some blogs each week that I haven't seen yet. Seems we are both awaiting the arrival of Spring :)!
ReplyDeleteCheers,

ReplyDeleteHere in the states we call your hearts ease flowers either viola's or johnny jump ups, because they "jump up " on their own in the spring. They do not necessarily winter over in the mid east, but they usually come back in my garden in the spring so they are self seeding.
Ruth
Yes Ruth, you are right - I have heard them called johnny jump ups too although I was introduced to them as heartsease and I guess thats what they'll remain to me!! Not sure why I still have some flowering over winter because others died right back and the seeds are 'jumping up' everywhere now that the weather is warming.
