back to the shore

I'm finding the 're-settling in' a little bit tedious right now and after a very emotionally exhausting day (with maybe just a teeny bout of mama tears) we headed off to the sea shore.

The sound of waves was soothing, calming and oh so relaxing.

The sight of my youngest, dreaming of mermaids and magical sea creatures, was a balm to my heavy heart.

Breathing fresh, tangy salt laden breezes was refreshing, invigorating.

We really don't go to the shore often enough, there are always so many other 'things' to do.

I hope to remedy that.

Wir waren heute beim Strand.
Spät nachmittag wann alles still war.
Die kleinste hat geträumt von Wassernixen und Meeres Geschöpf.
Ich hab mich wieder erholt nach einem langen, aufregender tag.
Alles ist wieder gut.

  1. Sometimes one must just get away no matter how many 'things' there might be to do. That starfish creature is really something. I've not spent much time on the sea, as I live quite inland, but I do know that it really is a balm for the soul. The waves especially.
