steaming fun

Oh my goodness, what a weekend!! Steamfest 2012 held in Sheffield, Tasmania just gets better every year! We have a trade stall to showcase our wood heaters, so we are fortunate to be able to spend three days just hanging out and enjoying the people, machines and great vibes!

There were steam driven machines;
some wandering knights in shining armour;
a whole lot of gorgeous wool (more on that later!);
more steam engines;
colourful local with a button fetish;
the new baby's first trip into the wide world - and doting little girls!
a gaggle of young ones all dressed up for the occasion (aren't they a dapper bunch?)
and did I mention the steam engines?

Oh I really love all the happenings and socialising and friendly faces and am feeling quite uplifted and ready to tackle all the slightly less exhilarating tasks that this week may bring!

I hope you all had a wonderful extra-long weekend too!!

  1. Looks like my kind of day out. The young ones dressed up and looked fabulous. And the wool, Oh I love the colours. I can't wait to see what you are going to be saying about that. Glad you had a great time. Hope business was good for you as well.

  4. Your family look great dressed up. They must have had a ball. And like primrose, I felt the wool was right up your alley! Have you bought some?

    Steph, that WAS chain mail! He let us hold his shiny helmet and it was so heavy! Can't imagine how he wandered around all day with all his gear on!
