On my mind.... are these four delicious balls of wool! Three of them were left over from the beanies I crocheted a few weeks back and are a fairly thick ply. The lighter coloured one is a whole skein - 100gm's I think, of soft alpaca wool. I rather like the look of them in the early morning sun but not enough to have them grace my sewing table for much longer!
I've been giving some thought to what to do with them because they have been sitting here beside my machine, getting moved around every now and again as I need the space. There's not really enough for anything that I can think of and as I'm not a knitter i.e. I can't follow a pattern, there's very little chance of whipping up anything small like this or this!! Crocheting, maybe ........ but what?
Does anyone have any brilliant ideas?
I'm joining in with Rhonda at Down to Earth today, who says she needs to tidy her workspace again - Rhonda, that makes two of us!!

I can only think of granny squares at the moment for that wool. Then join them together for a small rug.

Now, there's a thought - maybe with a few more 'ends' i could make a tiny one for the soon to be grandchild. Every time I write or say that, it makes me feel old!!!
ReplyDeleteyes! totally granny squares. thats exactly what i'm doing to use up my little remainders in a pretty way.
ReplyDeleteoh i love those balls, and if you can't think of anything i think they'd look perfect just sitting in a bowl, the colors and texture are so pretty!
